An Agora of services to boost European Universities
cooperation
aUPaEU is the first collaborative project between two European Alliances, it is funded by the European Union to improve Higher Education Institutions collaboration. Our ultimate goal is to create methodologies, sustainability plans, coaching services and tangible digital technologies that will constitute an acceleration agora providing HEI, University networks and Alliances with integrated, shared, and long-term R&I strategies. aUPaEU aims to transform higher
education institutions (HEIs) across Europe into dynamic hubs of innovation and
knowledge exchange. To this end aUPaEU develops Agoras, which are shared
platforms where HEIs, university alliances, and networks can exchange knowledge,
share best practices, and co-create innovative solutions. By providing comprehensive acceleration services, leveraging digital
technologies, and promoting collaboration, aUPaEU is driving a paradigm shift in HEIs'
approach to transformation, positioning them as catalysts for innovation and
societal impact.
Presenting the concept and the implementation of the Agora
On January 26, 2024 aUPaEU hosted an online workshop to present the project work so far and to engage in meaningful discussions for the future development of Agoras with an audience of experts in higher education, acceleration services and technical staff.Weunveiled a preliminary catalogue of acceleration services, first of which providing tailored Agoras to higher education institutions and alliances.
Agoras are new digital platforms that help HEIs connect, share knowledge and create new solutions. They can help Higher Education Institutions be more innovative and have a greater impact on the world. They offer a wide range of accelerationservices all in one shared platform.
In our preliminary catalogue of acceleration services alongside providing tailored Agoras to higher education institutions and alliances are also included research infrastructures, events, conferences and workshops, support in accessing grants and funding, coaching and support services, investment strategy development, stakeholder management and showcases.
aUPaEU establishes the idea of the Agora, a shared platform where HEIs, university alliances, and networks can exchange knowledge, share best practices, and co-create innovative solutions.

Funded under the same call of the European Research Area, our sister projects, Accelerate Future HEI and CATALISI , share our values
and objectives to improve Higher Education Institutions.
Our collaboration has a positive impact on the achievement of our individual project goals.
To further strengthen our partnership, we have created a shared Zenodo community dedicated to acceleration services: Acceleration
Services in support of the institutional transformation of Higher Education
Institutions.
All of our publications, presentations and posters can be found in the joint community.
On January 18th, the CATALISI Consortium met in Castellón, Spain, for
its inaugural General Assembly, fostering dynamic exchanges and inspiring
discussions around innovation in Higher Education Institutions.
The CATALISI Learning Hub is a dynamic platform dedicated to creating a repository that stakeholders can access to
foster collaboration and knowledge exchange in research and innovation across
diverse sectors.
A catalyst for researchers to map funding opportunities, foster
matchmaking, and access training and knowledge related to fourteen intervention
areas based on specific needs to ensure tailored collaborations.
Accelerate Future HEI
Transforming European Universities into Entrepreneurial and Innovative Hubs
The project, comprised of
twelve European partners from eleven countries, seeks to revolutionise Higher
Education Institutions (HEIs) by equipping them with the necessary skills and
capacities to drive institutional transformation towards entrepreneurship and
innovation. At
its core, Accelerate Future HEI aims to develop and implement acceleration
services tailored to the specific needs of each participating institution. The consortium represents institutions across Europe, including the outermost regions.
The diversity of the partners will enable the development of overarching services
that can be applied in different contexts and enable the HEIs to impact their
regions.
