Agora IT Community - New alliance onboarding (STARS EU)
Seventh session
Join the Agora IT Community – Online Session
We invite technical members from all university alliances to the next session of the Agora IT Community. This is a dedicated space to share IT insights, discuss new service requirements, and collaborate on improving the Agora platform.
Session Focus: STARS EU onboarding
This session will focus on the onboarding process for our newest alliance, STARS EU. We will answer their questions and address any doubts. The session is open to the entire community to help everyone understand how the onboarding process works.
The initial process consists of:
- Creating an Agora for the alliance.
- Assigning a technical contact person within both the Agora team and the alliance.
- Selecting the service or services from the golden image to begin testing.
- Assigning test users.
To support the introduction to the Agoras for new alliances, we've prepared a catalog of resources, which includes trainings, videos, and presentations. As a starting point, you might find the General Presentation helpful for understanding the overall concept.
We’ve also recorded several webinars on specific aspects of Agora, all of which are available on their respective event pages:
- Agora Onboarding & Training for University Alliances
- Catalogue Configuration and Management: Understanding the Process behind
- How to Create a Showcase and Manage Your Website
- How to Manage Events, Contacts and Email Marketing on Agora
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) configuration
- How to Design Websites & Use Content Blocks
The setup, customization, and maintenance of each Agora space are fully covered by the project budget. There is no cost to participating alliances during the project.
We kindly request that the alliance signs the Agora Users Agreement if it is a legal entity. If the alliance does not have a legal entity, the individual member universities should sign it. While signing the agreement is not a prerequisite to start using the Agora, obtaining these signatures is important to ensure broad institutional commitment.
While signing the agreement is not a prerequisite for starting to use the Agora, since we understand the diverse governance structures, it is important for us to obtain signatures from as many member universities as possible to ensure broad institutional commitment.
To assist you with this process, we have prepared the following documents:
- Agora Users Agreemen: To be signed by the legal representative of the alliance, or the rector/equivalent for higher education institutions.
- Agora Legal Notic: Outlines the terms of service and privacy policy that users accept when accessing the platform.
- FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions about the Agora Agreement: Clarifies common queries regarding the Agora Agreement.
- Instructions for Completing and Signing the Agora User Agreemen: A step-by-step guide.
Your expertise is crucial for this phase! We need your feedback to:
- Identify gaps: Ensure we haven't missed any essential requirements or use cases.
- Prioritize features: Help us define what matters most to the alliances so we can map out the next development steps.
