aUPaEU at the Grenoble Research School: Digital Services for Researchers

aUPaEU hosted a brainstorming session at the Grenoble Research School, aimed at gaining insights into researchers' needs and improving the Unite! Agora digital services.

The event offered the opportunity to engage with five universities’ leading researchers actively involved in European research and teaching collaboration from the Unite! University Alliance, with a brainstorming session focused on the Agora digital services for researchers.

The spotlights of the session were the funding opportunities hub and the internship portal , allowing the researchers to gain a deeper knowledge of the opportunities available to them, and to express their needs and opinions about these platforms. The session was highly interactive, aiming to better understand researchers' specific requirements and enhancing the current versions of the online resources.

The session revealed several important insights for the future of digital services within the Unite! Agora. A key point emphasized was that there is no need to "reinvent the wheel" by creating tools that are redundant or already available. This can be achieved by ensuring that the available tools facilitate collaboration between institutions , offer tailored funding opportunities, and provide support for researchers' career development.

Without any doubt, the focal point of the entire meeting was the importance of fostering a trusted community. The researchers expressed a solid will for the platform to be more than a centralized space where to find useful tools, but an environment that fosters the development of a reliable and trustworthy network. This sense of community and trustworthiness was seen as crucial for promoting collaboration among European researchers, and it should be the key focus in the future development of the Unite! Agora.
