Acceleration services portfolio

Research Infrastructures

It's a structured, searchable catalogue of available research infrastructures across partner institutions. Users can filter options by scientific domain, keywords, and home institution and contact the infrastructure direclty for enquiries and further collaboration. Agora empowers research through access, visibility and connection, building a dynamic ecosystem.

Course Catalogue

The Agora Course Catalogue turns a complex network of academic offers into a cohesive experience for learners and staff alike: a more collaborative, international learning environment, learning across borders.

R&I Proposals

It's a platform that fosters collaboration, builds networks and accelerates research impact. Institutions and researchers alike benefit from increased visibility for their expertise and project ideas; expanded access to interdisciplinary, cross-border partnerships; greater agility in forming research teams and launching initiatives.

Internships

It's a centralised, curated catalogue of internship opportunities offered by partner universities. Internships is a reliable tool that supports students as they transition from university to the work environment, helping them to access internship and employment opportunities, especially in an international context.

Events, Forum, Blog and Stakeholder Management

These services help build communities and manage them effectively. By simplifying organisation and maximising visibility, Events contributes to a more dynamic and connected community. The Stakeholder Management service, via its integrated CRM module, supports strategic, informed, and scalable communication across the university alliance or network.

Training Catalogues

Course Catalogues for Faculty and Staff provide a centralised space to access, share, and benefit from training and mobility opportunities. It supports lifelong learning, professional growth in teaching and the adoption of new educational methodologies aligned with collaborative and innovative learning goals.

We offer an onboarding process to guide you to the use and implementation of Agora and its services in your network and offer plenty of resources on our Agora Support website.

a discussion with co-creators, lead users and policy experts

This workshop will feature two main sessions: 

From concept to implementation: meet the Agora service co-creators

This session presents the development trajectory of the Agora services, from their conceptual foundations to their practical realization. The co-creators of Agora services from four different university alliances and projects will reflect on the collaborative processes, methodological choices, and institutional contexts that informed Agora’s design and implementation, offering insights into the co-creation of digital services in higher education. 

You will hear directly from who worked alongside the aUPaEU team to develop new services that have since been adopted by their own university networks to innovate processes, share resources and facilitate collaboration:

Policy Dialogue: Challenges and Enablers of Institutional Transformation in Higher Education Institutions

This policy-focused round table brings together academic leaders and policy experts to examine the structural and cultural factors shaping institutional transformation in higher education. The session will address both the barriers and the enabling conditions that influence change processes in european HEIs. 

  • Moderator: Roberto Zanino, member of the CESAER Board of Directors and Full Professor at Politecnico di Torino. 
  • Jan Palmowski, Secretary-General of The Guild of European Research-Intensive Universities 
  • Maria Mecenero, Policy Officer at the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD)

Collaborating to Accelerate


Three EU funded projects sign a collaboration agreement to accelerate research and innovation

​Through this, CATALISI, aUPaEU and Accelerate Future HEI will solidify joint efforts in dissemination and policy recommendations for Higher Education Institutions.

Three sister projects, funded under the same EU funding program, HORIZON-WIDERA-2022-ERA-01-51 - Acceleration Services in support of the institutional transformation of Higher Education Institutions have been working closely for over two years to amplify their impact in Higher Education across the European Union. The Collaboration Agreement, which was signed by the partnership in September 2025, gives formal recognition to these efforts.

The role of staff training in driving institutional transformation in universities

In today’s complex and fast-evolving environment, universities must go beyond their traditional roles to become agile, impactful actors in society. Institutional transformation is no longer optional- it’s strategic. But transformation is not just about policies or restructuring; it’s deeply human. It begins with equipping people with the capacity to lead and sustain change. A case in point is the Accelerate Future HEI (AFH) Training Program, which offers valuable insights into how structured learning interventions can be the catalyst for deeper, systemic change.

Shaping the Future of Institutional Change in Higher Education: Outcomes of the CATALISI Final Conference

On 11 November 2025, the CATALISI consortium hosted its Final Conference in Amsterdam, bringing together policymakers, researchers, university leaders, and innovation stakeholders to reflect on three years of collaborative work. The event, was a true success, showcasing the project’s achievements, sharing lessons learned, and validating policy recommendations for the future of the European Research Area (ERA) together with our sisters and synergy projects.
